ABOUT US
WE BELIEVE
Lutheran Church of the Pines is part of The Lutheran Church Missiouri Synod . We confess the three universal creeds . Our motto is to be the pipeline. God blesses us so that we may bless others - like a pipeline of blessings.
VISITING?

Who is welcome?
All are welcome regardless of church affiliation - or no church affiliation.

What to Wear?
People dress casually at The Pines (i.e. jeans, slacks, tee-shirts, sweaters). During holidays like Christmas and Easter, people tend to step it up a notch (i.e. nice slacks, dresses, skirts, button down shirts). The most important thing is to wear what makes you comfortable. You're welcome just as you are.

Worship
We gather at 8:30 and 10:30am on Sundays and 6:30pm on Wednesday and follow a  pattern of worship common among Lutherans.
* We gather.
* We encounter God’s Word.
* We share a meal at the Lord’s table.
* And we are sent into the world.

Will I know what to do?
Our bulletins contain the elements you will need to follow worship or you can just watch on the projection screen.

What about offering?
After the sermon, the offering plate is passed.  Offering is part of our worship, part of our response to God’s  love and mercy.  No one should feel compelled to give. Let the Holy Spirit and your own circumstances guide you.

I have kids, where do they fit in?
ALL kids are encouraged and welcomed to attend and participate in worship.  However, if you feel you need some one on one time with God, we do have a nursury ministry that is safe, fun and always supervised. Children over 5 are encouraged to remain in the service.

Communion
We have communion every Sunday and Wednesday. Jesus Christ is the host at the communion table. We invite and encourage all present who are baptized and faithful Christians, who confess the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit to be the only true God and who believe that Jesus Christ died for the sins of the world and is our hope and salvation to join us in receiving the very body and blood of Christ in this Sacrament. The pastor distributes bread and wine to everyone at the table  - if you do not wish to receive the wine, white grape juice can be found in the middle of the communion tray.

Before and After Service
Before and after each service, you are invited to gather informally in the Fellowship Hall for conversation, coffee, tea, juice, and snacks.

Sunday School
We have Sunday School for all ages at 9:15am. Young disciples begin in worship then stay through the children's sermon.
